Keil software products incorporate a license management system. A current Product Serial Number (PSN) must be installed to activate (license) the product. Without a current license the product runs as a Lite/Evaluation edition with a few Limitations. TerminologyThere are a number of terms that you will encounter as you install and license your Keil product. CID (Computer ID)The CID is a 10-character alphanumeric value that uniquely identifies your computer. It is automatically generated by the µVision IDE and is used to generate the LIC required for product activation. The File — License Management... dialog displays the CID for your computer. PSN (Product Serial Number)The PSN is a 15-character alphanumeric value that you receive from Keil Software with your Keil product. The PSN is required to license and activate your product. The PSN and CID are used to generate a LIC. LIC (License ID Code)The LIC is a 30-character alphanumeric value that is used to activate your Keil product. You must register on-line using your CID and PSN to obtain a LIC.Further information about installing your software is available in the Read Me First brochure or in the online Licensing User's Guide. |
